I'On Village Walk
Come enjoy the I'On Village Walk. It's a five mile walking trail through our community.
If you click on the 'more information' link above, it will open a PDF version of the Village Walk. This can be printed, or is small enough to save onto a diskette.
The I'On Village Walk was designed by neighbors to provide a self-guided tour of some of the more interesting environmental, historical and architectural features within the I'On community in Mount Pleasant, SC. Within these 256 acres, there are numerous ecosystems, different styles of walking paths, and many interesting architectural features of the homes and bridges interwoven in the village. The guide provides explanation for many of these.
Boy Scouts who complete the walk can earn a specially designed patch, designed by I'On resident and accomplished artist, Mark Horton. The Guide was created by neighbor William Hamilton, and the idea for the patch came from resident Jason Bell.
The printed guide is available for $5 at many of the businesses on I'On Square. The cover art to the guide (above), named Summer Warmth, was painted by Mark Horton, inspired by views from our Marshwalk. The original work was purchased by an I'On neighbor.
