“Communities are all different, but I know when I’m in one. People speak to their neighbors by name, sometimes to their neighbor’s dogs. No one is a stranger for long.” -- Charles Kuralt

Welcome to I'On!
A very special place filled with very special people. Where traditional architecture meets traditional hospitality, Neighborliness Happen. Where a tidal marsh meets pristine lakes and ponds, birds, breezes, Binoculars Happen. Where a tapas cafe meets gift shops, cold beer, and great sandwiches, Commerce Happens. Where a church and school can raise beautiful towers of learning, Growth Happens ...all gracefully. Welcome to I'On.

A new crew arrived from Molasses Creek to help out with Adopt-A-Highway along Mathis Ferry Road. Pictured here: Geoff Waggoner, Dave Rosengren, Ben & Mary Bell with their kids Sarah and Jack. (Sarah really is a happy little girl! And Jack is working on a Boy Scout badge. He was amazed at how much litter was on the side of the road!) Also joining in that day were I'On regulars, Phil Ayers, Louise Rainis, Eleanor &Ed Chambliss, Anne Register, Becky Van Wie and Cynthia Rosengren.
